Where will be held in Spain Formula 1 Grand Prix in the 2012?
Barcelona Grand Prix 2012, will be held on the Catalunya circuit, which is 20 km northeast from Barcelona, located in the small town of Montmelo.
When is going in 2012 the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Spain?
From Friday, May 11th till Sunday May 13nd (main race). Sunday is also the date of the last (main) race. Start and qualifications are held on Friday, May 11th and Saturday, May 12st, before the big race, which takes place on Sunday 13th May. So, you can make a nice formula weekend, coupled with a visit to one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
How and where to buy tickets for the Grand Prix 2012 Formula 1?
The easiest way how to buy tickets for the Grand Prix of 2012 is online. Tickets can be purchased at several sites:
Accommodation
You can stay right at the circuit where there are several hotels. Some are available here. Cheaper accommodation is at the heart of the city, where prices are not so exorbitant, as in Montmelo. Here is a list of apartments in the heart of Barcelona. Prices start at 30 Euro per person per night. You have a fully equipped apartment with kitchen and living room, in most cases, with access to the Internet.
How to get from the Barcelona´s city center to the Catalunya circuit?
As regards the public transport, you have two options:
By train to the Catalunya circuit
From the city center you can go by train from the following stations: Sants, Passeig de Gracia or Clot. Stop off at Montmelo, the nearest stop on the F1 racing circuit - Catalunya.
Price of train tickets
Train tickets can be purchased in each of those stations in Barcelona. One-way ticket is around 2 Euro, the return of around 4 Euro per person.
The way from the Sants station to Montmelo takes 31 minutes. Train timetables are not yet available (October 2011). It can be found, for example on the web http://www.renfe.com/
In 2011 left the first morning train at 5:00 pm. The second an hour later and longer intervals were reduced to every 15-20 minutes.
Last year, more than 49,000 people used this regional train, at the time of the Grand Prix. The company RENFE set out the special trains for this period. However, it should be noted that the trains are very busy, so we recommend purchasing tickets on the day of arrival.
From the station takes the pedestrian way another about 20-30 minutes to Montmelo circuit. Below is a map how to get to the circuit:

From the train station to the Catalunya circuit also runs a small bus. It is a temporary, for the purposes of race established line. Bus runs only on race days and for the spectators with a valid ticket only, is the way this link for free.
By bus from the Barcelona´s center to F1 Grand Prix
For viewers Grand Prix will be held the race will be introduced a special bus line from the Barcelona´s center to the Circuit de Catalunya. The operation of this bus service provided by Sagalés.
Buses will travel from Barcelona every 30 minutes from the station Pg. Sant Joan directly at the Catalunya circuit. Price of return ticket is 8 Euro. Full bus timetable can be downloaded here (PDF).
To the Circuit de Catalunya by car
Racing circuit has 32,000 parking spaces. Parking is possible in the immediate vicinity of the racecourse. You must´nt forget however, that the circuit is more than 4 km long and it is good to park your car closest to where you purchased tickets.

What to take to the Circuit de Catalunya
Food
Around the track is more than 120 stalls where is the food and drink available. You can buy here such as sandwiches, pizzas and other fast food. Around the circle are also three restaurants, which have a classic menu. Two are called 'Gourmet Grille' and a 'Mediterranean'. The restaurants have a large outdoor seating capacity.

- Appropriate clothing
Circuit de Catalunya is a large and exposed area. Races take place in the sun at the height of summer. Take all, therefore, what you consider necessary for a pleasant day.
Spectators with tickets for standing often bring umbrellas. They are not only effective protection against the strong Spanish sun, but also help to keep you your place if you have a good position for watching the race and you need to run off.
Many people also wear ear muffs, ear plugs or headphones. The race is a huge noise that you may eventually begin to interfere. Especially for Formula 1, you can buy headphones that have built-in radio. It allows you not only listen to the commentators, but at the same time you blocked out the noise.
Screens
Around the circumference of the racing circuit is 23 screens available. The screens are placed so that all visitors of the circuit ensure the race comfortable watching.
